Important Notice

 Hello everyone!


It’s been a long time since the last post and we apologize for that. We’ve been (and are) busy as hell not only with Bioasshard but with other stuff as well, like setting the office up and ready for work (which is almost complete; at about 95% right now).

There are a few key points we’d like to talk about on this post, so let’s begin:

 

First thing first, if you know/follow other creators in P*treon, you’ll probably have heard/read (about) this before, that website is going crazy lately, with so many pages closed without noticing the creators or even giving any real reasons…

In the past few months, we’ve seen this happening too frequently to ignore it.

So you can imagine the fear to wake up one day and find our page closed and with no way to inform you through there.

We know it’s a pain in the *ss to go and create an account in SubscribeStar and stuff but we’ve been left with no other choice but to ask that to you. We would honestly love if you could consider moving there, that would mean no absurd rules/guidelines and no limitation to our creative freedom.


And since as mentioned there is total creative freedom over there, we’re already planning on some content that’ll be exclusive to it.

Aside from that, we’re also looking to make accounts on other websites to have as backups (and to serve as more choices for you) just in case stuff happens and to avoid being isolated in just one or two places.


In the line of the worst case happening and being unable to contact you from there, we’re also making a backup list of our members, so we can, just in case something happens, contact you through email. And we’d also like to encourage you to follow us (or any other creator you follow) on other networks (twitter, websites, blog, etc.) not only through P*treon.


Now, before leaving, I want to ask you one more thing: Would you be interested in watching us stream while we work? Please, let us know below as well.

BIOASSHARD ARENA Ver. 1.0.241 REVISION 3 COMING THIS WEEK!

 Hello everyone!


Just a quick report about the release of a new revision addressing a bug with the temporal save system and adding some checks to try and avoid an annoying glitch where the Cerberus is snapped to Julia after freeing from him (dunno how many of you faced this one).


So, this release will come in a couple days: 6-6-24

 A critical bug was reported, so we quickly fixed it and uploaded the new revision. Please re-download it.

BIOASSHARD ARENA Ver. 1.0.241 Rev.1 RELEASED!

 Hello everyone!


So, it’s finally here. In the end it took us more than a few days, but we decided to add one more thing to the Arena to close it for good…


And that’s a Temporal Save System!

It works like an auto-save and it’s basically made for big missions (and/or those with more than one level). So, it’s not on mission 1, 4, 6, 8 and 10 but on the other ones.


Whenever you see the text “Saving…” on the bottom right of your screen (where the life bar is) and then it goes away, you can safely exit the mission and/or the game and return to it at any time and continue where you left of.

There shouldn’t be any problems (I always say the same XD) but in case there is you can still always use the “Restart” option from the Pause Menu to start all over again.


As you can imagine the saved game lasts until reaching the goal, where after that if you enter the mission again, you obviously will start from the beginning again.


One more thing to note: when you reach a save point, it gets deactivated, meaning you cannot save the game again in that point if you pass over it again, BUT, if you reach any other save point and use it, the previous one will be available again. Not sure if it’s clear enough; let’s say you go to Mission 9, and there are Save Point A, B and C. When you pass over Save Point A, you can use Save Point B and C after that and then when you reach Save Point B, you’ll be able to use Save Point A (again) and C and so on.


Other than that, we fixed the reported (and reproduced on our end) bugs, like Mission 5 being unplayable since the crystal weren’t working properly anymore and getting out of bounds on Mission 12 if examining the card reader from behind the wall.

BIOASSHARD DEV REPORT 4/30/2024

 Hello everyone!


Just wanted to let you know, that we’re already working on a revision for this 1.0 version fixing the reported bugs so far. It should be out in the next few days (unless new bugs appear which should be fixed first before releasing it).


I wonder how many of you already completed the last mission… I thought it’d have some reactions about what happens there… xD

We downloaded from both links with no problems, no limit reached, etc. But we always download big files using the FREE download manager J-Downloader 2. So, just wanted to put it here, in case you experience any problem when downloading, use that download manager.

BIOASSHARD -ARENA- VER.1.0.241 RELEASE DATE!

 Hello everyone!


The time has almost come. Yeah, it’s been long since I said “the next report will be better” but finally it’s here.

The next and last release (unless a Revision is necessary) for the Bioasshard -Arena- it’s almost here and we wanted to let you know a bit about the changelog you know.


The version number it’s 1.0.241


+New+ Mission 12

The last mission for the Arena. Similar to Mission 9, there you can test the mechanics -the newly added ones along with the rest-.


+New+ Explosive barrels system

For now, they won’t damage Julia, so take advantage of that XD.


+New+ Destructible wooden boxes/barrels system

A new way to obtain items and money.


+New+ Two new BJ S*xttack animation for the three average Infected -making a total of 6 “new” anims- 

Well, sort of. Let me explain: It's the already existing one that has a change of pace in between that caused some people to dislike it but divided into two separated animations, one for the slow part and another one for the faster part. Doesn’t add much but it was necessary to test how enemies behave having more than one S*xttack of specific type (in this case: the BJ).


+New+ Cheap Storm System (to add some atmosphere when necessary)

Pretty cheap indeed and it’s just a temp solution, the game will have a different one along with the rain effect. The new mission had to feature this and we decided to make the fastest and easiest method since it’s just for testing purposes.


+New+ Skin shader for Julia (temporal? it depends on your input)

Wanted to try this approach for a long time now, I had some time finally and here it is, would be cool if you let me know what you think about it. Do you like it more than the previous one or rather the opposite?


+New+ Credits Screen System (skippable after the first view)

Yep, it’s more than just a section in the included .txt file. If you want you get your name/nickname immortalized inside the Arena, now it’s your chance, look for the corresponding tier! (What a brilliant and sneaky way of asking for support huh, nobody will notice for sure XD)


+New+ Content for the Showcase Level: Sexttack pose

+New+ Content for the Showcase Level: Enemies

+New+ Stat system in Mission Selection Screen (is finally here!)

+New+ Three different kinds of locked door for puzzles and stuff (you can find them on Mission 12)

+New+ Face type (?) for Julia - a surprise Fantasy Card!

+New+ Surprise for the last mission (Mission 12)

+New+ Final update to the guide with all the info to get the most out of the Arena and its content, downloadable in PDF! (Will be made available soon, first enjoy the new Mission on your own ^_^)

+New+ 3 hair pubes styles (including a new fiber one) for Julia

+New+ Game Over System 2.0

+Change+ Tweaks made to enemies' physics (y'know where lol to try and avoid those *things* going crazy when FPS can't keep up high enough)

+Change+ Normal items can now have different radius of activation for the pop-up alert, making some of them harder/easier to find than others

+Fix+ When dying and retrying on missions with more than one level will cause the inventory and the Itembox to be empty and a mission restart will be necessary to "fix" that

+Fix+ Sometimes when playing a new version and using the Rank Card code won't re-unlock the unlockables obtained in a previous version

+Fix+ There's a few concrete cubes that allow Julia to get on unwalkable places on Mission 11, 3rd floor

+Fix+ The shelf hiding a door behind in Mission 9, cannot be moved enough to see/interact-with said door
