Bioasshard Arena Version 0.4.254 Rev.1

 Hello everyone!

The time has finally come! Here’s the revision for 0.4.254.

So, we’ve made lots of fixes to bugs that’s been reported. But not only that we even made some tweaks.

The biggest thing to note is that if you found Mission 1 too hard to complete, here’s something for you:

First, a change has been made in this mission itself. Now enemies give points as well when you kill them.

But, if you feel like this is not enough, then…

Second, we added a “Mission 1 Easy Mode” for you. Here, not only enemies give points, but also targets give time. And there’s more to it, now you’ll find more targets to shoot at and there’s also some new bigger targets with juicy rewards for destroying them (bigger also mean more ‘health’ if you know what I mean…). I was able to unlock all the weapons in one go and I’m pretty bad at it, so yeah, if you were having a hate time with the Mission 1, I think you’ll enjoy this one.

For the fixes, you better go read the changelog within the download (even though I’m remembering now that I forgot some of them xD, like the one where if you get in a Sexttack and you’re closer to an interactable object like the sewer machine and you press F to free from the Sexttack too soon you’d get hard-locked trying to interact while it’s not possible. Or the other one not allowing Crocodile Patrons to unlock the Secret Outfit 1.), but the important ones are:

• You can now complete Mission 4 (former Mission 3) again

o Unless you were lucky enough (like I was when I tested previously to releasing 0.4.254) to get all the out-of-bound enemies killed blowing up their heads, you were unable to finish this mission because those enemies were lying on floor but still alive. Not anymore!

• I ran into a new and random Fatal Error, some of you got as well

o It was caused randomly by an array getting out of bound. This has been fixed and so far during the latest 4 days I’ve been playing it without closing the game and got 0 problems, not a single Fatal Error.

• I rewrote part of the interactions code

o Yeah, I was unable to reproduce that bug some people reported of getting stuck when examining doors and stuff in none of my attempts. I tried everything from pressing F as fast as possible with and without the key, pressing a lot of buttons at the same time, trying to interact right after getting an item in the same position, interacting right after freeing from a grab or Sexttack, etc., etc.

o But I still made some changes to simplify the code, and got rid of some checks that wasn’t that useful at all and some left overs from back when the key items showed the item big on the screen while everything was paused. I’ve got not a single problem during the test I’ve been making (repeated every mission more than 6 times during these past few days xD) so I hope this will solve that problem for you as well.

And yeah, I’d say those are the important but not the only ones. I hope you enjoy this fixed version. And this time for real, we’ll take some more than deserved vacations (at least I will, dunno about Mr.Versus xD), it’s time to recover from not having a rest since about 5 months (the time it took to get this release ready), gosh not even during Christmas XD. Even with that, I can’t stay doing nothing, so I’ll take this ‘chance’ to learn some Houdini (I’ve been wanting to learn this software for a long time now, since I’ve seen some experts talking about how better than other softs is in terms of simulations and effects) and keep expanding my knowledge on C++ (yeah, I don’t know if I’ll have time for that much xD)
